Planned Giving
CONSIDER GIVING TO OUR ENDOWNMENT FUND
The simple act of making an outright or planned gift to the Ashtabula County Family YMCA Endowment fund ensures that the work goes on and serves future generations. A commitment, by you, to the Y endowment fund is the primary means by which a strong endowment is built, capable of providing lasting support for the mission and work of our YMCA.
Types of donations:
An outright gift: Immediate gifts of cash, appreciated securities or tangible property. In this way, each member not only benefits from the good that will be done, but also from current income tax savings.
Beneficiary designation: Add the Ashtabula County Family YMCA as a revocable beneficiary of your IRA, pension plan, bank account or insurance policy. In addition, should you wish to contribute a life insurance policy that is no longer needed to protect current beneficiaries, you could realize substantial income tax deductions.
Wills and revocable living trusts: Designations may be for a percentage of your estate, a specified amount, or from the residue of your estate. It permits you to retain all your assets during your lifetime. Bequest qualifies for estate deductions.
Charitable trusts: After providing you with income during your lifetime, the trust principal passes to the Ashtabula County Family YMCA Endowment. With all or portion of your gift eventually directed to the YMCA, you are eligible to receive a charitable deduction.
